My four-day weekend is coming to an end; just one more paid holiday left before the monotonous stretch that lies between MLK Day and Memorial Day. I knew I’d better use it wisely, so I made my way up to Manito Park this afternoon to get some pictures of the gorgeous snow. I love having a fresh layer of snow to start the new year with. It makes everything look so clean, effectively creating a blank slate for all the things we hope to accomplish during our next trip around the sun. And there’s just something about seeing those delicate flakes falling and catching the rays of the distant sun that makes me feel so young and carefree. I can handle the arctic temperatures we’ve been having as long as I have snow to look at.
Happy New Year!
